    Business Law Workshop – Starting a Business: To Inc. or not to Inc.? – Update

    (1) Can an LLC that has filed taxes as a disregarded entity (i.e. 1040 schedule C) change to being taxed as an S-Corp? If so, how?
    (2) At what point is the extra filing burden of an S-Corp worthwhile for a small business owner (due to tax savings)? Is it just a simple financial calculation?
    (3) Can a business entity protect me from medical/legal/professional malpractice claims?

    Ohio’s New Public Records Mailbox Rule

    The Ohio Supreme Court created a new mailbox rule for public records. The Enquirer wanted copies of employment applications that the school district was leaving in a post office box until the deadline for applications.
